Dear Washington Capitals Fan,

I will put it simply: the Washington Capitals wouldn't be the team they are without you. Our season ticket holders are the backbone of our fan base and it's because of you that Capital One Arena is one of the most difficult venues in the NHL for opposing teams. You are loud, dedicated and rowdy; you make Capital One Arena the best home venue in the NHL. We are grateful for your support and we are proud of the memories we have made together this year.

We started the season with Alex Ovechkin's back-to-back hat tricks, making him 20th on the NHL's all-time goals list and inching him closer to some of the NHL's best individual achievements. In January, Ovechkin posted his 500th career assist against the Florida Panthers, becoming one of three active players to record at least 500 career goals and 500 career assists. As we enter February, Ovechkin has two significant milestones on the horizon: he is aiming to hit the 600-goal mark and the 1,000 NHL games played plateau - all with the same franchise, which is an incredible achievement this day and age. In January, we were honored to have Ovechkin, along with Braden Holtby and Coach Barry Trotz, represent the Capitals at the 2018 All-Star Game in Tampa Bay. That marked the ninth All Star selection for Ovechkin while Holtby made his third straight appearance, the most of any goaltender in our franchise history.

Over the last four seasons, the Capitals have recorded the most wins of any team in the NHL on home ice. This season, we are once again putting ourselves in a position to compete in the playoffs. This summer, we made long term commitments to T.J. Oshie, Evgeny Kuznetsov and Dmitry Orlov, and we believe those signings, along with the emergence of young players like Andre Burakovsky, Jakub Vana, Madison Bowey and Christian Djoos, will give us an opportunity to be competitive for years to come.

This past offseason we were also excited to announce Capital One as our new area naming rights partner, pairing up our iconic building with one of our most prominent hometown companies. And finally, I'm really proud to announce that Monumental Sports & Entertainment is investing in an array of state-of-the-art upgrades to the fan experience at Capital One Arena as part of a $40 million dollar renovation this year. As part of this upgrade, we are installing a brand new state-of-the-art sound system, new seats and cupholders and new digital displays and wayfinding signage, to make the arena easier to navigate. We're refurbishing the concourses with sleek new décor, building new lounges and clubs and renovating our flagship team store, which will now remain open year-round for fans. We are bringing in new celebrity chefs like Cat Cora and Alex McCoy to amp up the dining experience - and more.

We are committed to ensuring that every fan who comes to cheer on the Caps at Capital One Arena has an unforgettable experience. We are excited to welcome you back to a brand new, upgraded arena for the 2018-19 season and we can't wait to show you around.

Capital One Arena Renovation

NEW CAPITAL ONE ARENA IMPROVEMENTS FOR 2018-19
Monumental Sports and Entertainment is announcing an array of state-of-the-art updates to the fan experience at Capital One Arena as part of our $40 million-dollar renovation investment. This renovation will be entirely privately financed and will ensure that the fan experience at Capital One Arena remains on the cutting edge.

The renovations will begin in February 2018. Among the upgrades will be:

More Comfortable Seats: Brand new padded seats with cupholders throughout the arena beginning in the Capitals and Wizards 2018-19 season
Modern, Cutting Edge Sound System: Entirely new, state-of-the-art sound system designed to deliver the sharpest, clearest game and concert sound throughout the arena. No matter where in the arena you're sitting, you'll hear clean, powerful sound.
Renovated Concourses: Concourses on the 100 and 400 levels will get a complete overhaul, including new flooring, new lighting, and new décor for a sleeker, more modern feel.
New Lounges and Clubs: In addition to the renovation of the PwC club, we will add multiple new destination lounges and clubs to Capital One Arena, including a newly-designed main concourse lounge, party suite and a new premium club.
Delicious Culinary Experience: The new concessions, bars and clubs at the arena will showcase some of the world-class culinary talent that Washington, DC has to offer. All concession stands throughout the arena will be renovated and modernized. New celebrity chefs, including Cat Cora and Alex McCoy, will bring their cuisine to the arena, as well; we'll have more announcements on the celebrity chefs in the near future.
Renovated PwC Club: The PwC Club will undergo a total overhaul and will be a transformed destination for fans.

Clearer Digital Displays and LED Signage: Fans will notice new digital displays in each quadrant of the concourses as well as upgraded internal wayfinding signage to make the arena even easier to navigate.
Retail Store Now Open Year-Round: The renovation will include the updating of the flagship retail store at Capital One Arena, which will now be open to fans year-round, making it easier to purchase the newest, hottest gear anytime.
The Connected Fan: Monumental360 Fan Platform: Part of our investment in Capital One Arena includes further developing cutting-edge technology that allows us to better serve our fans. The Connected Fan, our new Monumental360 program, will provide us with data that will give us a better understanding of our fans' preferences and interests, which will allow us to deliver an improved and more personalized fan experience, from food and beverage to special offers to specifically-tailored digital content.
New Cornerstone Partnerships: Capital One Arena's renovation will feature multiple fully-immersed zones throughout the venue. The zones will utilize world-class digital displays and unique fan engagements to allow partners to be fully-integrated into the fan experience for all 230 annual events at Capital One Arena. Monumental Sports' Global Partnerships team will seek 6 Cornerstone Partners to own these zones.

How do I make my first payment online?

Please click the View Invoice button above and then follow the directions on the page to renew. Select your payment method and make your first payment. Once we receive your renewal and payment information for the 2018-19 tickets, we will charge your credit card for that first payment.

How will my Power Pay payment plan work for the rest of this season and future seasons?

What are the benefits of renewing my season-tickets by the March 16, 2018 renewal deadline?

By renewing your season-tickets by the deadline, you continue to receive our great Season-Ticket Member benefits package, guarantee your same seat location for the playoffs, qualify for our Pay As We Play playoff payment plan and qualify for our 2018-19 renewal incentives including participation in the renewal sweepstakes program.

My Power Pay plan does not finish until February 2018. Will I have to make two payments in February, my final payment for my 2017-18 tickets and also start paying for my 2018-19 season tickets?

If you opt to renew within the month of February there will be some overlap in the payment plan process. If you are signed up for the 2017-18 Power Pay plan, your final payment is February 15, 2018. If we receive your renewal and payment information for your 2018-19 full season-ticket membership in February, we will charge your credit card for that first payment immediately.

If you are currently enrolled in the Power Pay auto-renewal program you will not have any overlap in your payments as we will automatically renew your plan for the 2018-19 season on March 15, 2018.

What are my options for receiving the funds when selling tickets through the NHL TicketExchange?

Season-Ticket Members have two options for receiving resale credit when selling tickets through the NHL TicketExchange. The first option is direct deposit, this option will have all resale credit from sold tickets deposited directly into an eligible checking or savings account. The second option is seller credit, this option will have all resale credit from sold tickets deposited directly into your Capitals team account which will be credited towards future seasons twice per year, first during the renewal period and second on or about July 15th.

*Please note: the only way to access funds from sold tickets immediately is to select the direct deposit option. If the seller credit option is selected, funds will be held in your Washington Capitals account and distributed twice annually directly to your ticket invoice. The first being on your renewal invoice and the second being just prior to the July 15 payment.

I have resale credit on my team account, can I use it to make my regular monthly payments?

No, any resale credit accrued by the resale of 2017-18 regular-season tickets and 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs can only be used towards the 2018-19 regular season when applied during the renewal period. Resale credit for tickets sold from the start of the 2017-18 season up to January 31, 2018, will be noted on your 2018-19 renewal invoice and applied to your renewal balance. Resale credit for tickets sold on or after February 1, 2018, will automatically be applied prior to your July 15, 2018 payment for your 2018-19 season-tickets. Resale credit in your team account can only be used toward future seasons or ticket purchases.

Can I use multiple cards for my Power Pay payments?

No, we need one consistent credit card for payments.

What happens if I miss a payment or my credit card is declined?

If a problem arises concerning your payment, you will be contacted by the Washington Capitals to provide a valid credit card. Your online account manager privileges will be suspended until the payment is made and your tickets may be blocked. If you are unable to arrange for regular monthly installments, you will be removed from Power Pay and will need to pay your remaining balance in full to avoid cancellation of your season-tickets.

Who do I contact if I need to update my credit card information?

Please contact your Membership Services Manager directly or the Capitals Membership Services Department at (202) 266-2350 or via e-mail at membershipservices@washcaps.com. Updating your credit card through your account manager will not update the credit card for your payment plan.

What is Select-A-Seat?

Our annual event where full season-ticket members can relocate their seats for the upcoming season based on availability. This event takes place in the summer of 2018 and is the only relocation opportunity for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

How are the time slots assigned for this event?

The time slots are assigned based on the since date for each account and sorted by account numbers. Time slots are not consistent year over year, however the most tenured accounts will always have the earliest access to the Select-A-Seat event. Due to the large number of accounts, there is the possibility that accounts within the same since date will be split between two time slots with the earliest account numbers getting the first time slot.

I have a share partner with a later time slot; can they come to my time slot?

No, in order for you and your share partner to relocate seats together you must attend the later of the two time slots to maintain the tenure system by which times were assigned.

I cannot make it to Select-A-Seat, can I send a share partner?

Yes, you will be able to select a share partner as a proxy. However, if your share partner selects a location you are not happy with, you will not have another relocation opportunity.

What will be available during my time slot?

We cannot guarantee specific locations during a specific time slot. The Select-A-Seat event is very fluid and available inventory will be changing during each time slot. Throughout the night, we will have representatives labeling seats as seat-relocations are done.

I know someone that did not renew their seats, can I move into those?

If those seats are open and available at your assigned time slot during the event you are welcome to move into them. To maintain the integrity of the event and our loyalty program all non-renewed and open inventory will be made available to season-ticket members based on their assigned time slot.

2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs

How to purchase your tickets for the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Pay As We Play:

This 2018-19 full season-ticket renewal incentive allows you to pay for the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs at the conclusion of each playoff round. This means no upfront payment for games that might not be played. You are charged only if the Capitals play a home game during that round.

To qualify you must renew your plan for the 2018-19 season by the renewal deadline of March 16, 2018. The Capitals reserve the right to cancel your 2018-19 season-ticket plan if you default on any Pay As We Play payment.

*Please note, any payments made towards the renewal of your 2018-19 season-ticket plan will remain on your account if it is cancelled any time after the conclusion of the 2017-18 regular season. That credit may be used towards the purchase of 2018-19 Capitals tickets through your Membership Services Manager or a Capitals Ticket Sales Specialist. There will be no refund for payments made towards your Membership renewal.

Pay in Full for Rounds 1 through 4:

You may choose to purchase your seats for all four playoff rounds up front (16 possible games). Refer to the seating diagram for pricing information. Any money from unplayed playoff games will be credited to your season-ticket account for the 2018-19 season. If you choose not to renew your 2018-19 season-ticket plan, you can still purchase your seats for the playoffs using the pay in full for all four rounds option.

How do I sign up for Pay As We Play?

By renewing your season-tickets for 2018-19 and making your first payment either through Power Pay, Four Part, 50/50 or 100% now, you are eligible to be enrolled in Pay As We Play for the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Be sure to select Pay As We Play on your invoice or online renewal. Please note that if you default on your payments for the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs Pay As We Play program, the Capitals reserve the right to automatically cancel your 2018-19 season-ticket plan and remaining playoff tickets.

What forms of payment will be accepted for 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs Pay As We Play program?

The only accepted form of payment for the Pay As We Play plan is a major credit or debit card with a Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express logo.

Do I have to use the same credit card for both Power Pay and Pay As We Play?

Yes. We will automatically charge the credit card we have on file for Power Pay on or about the 15th of each month. At the end of each playoff round, the same card will be charged for any home games played during that round.

How will I receive my tickets for the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs?

Your playoff tickets booklets will be mailed to you similar to your 2017-18 regular season tickets. They will also be loaded onto your online Account Manager prior to the start of the first round. These paper tickets will be the active tickets for all Club Red 365 members. You may selected to use our other digital ticket options to enter Capital One Arena. By transferring your tickets to your Monumental Membership Pass* or using the NHL App for mobile ticketing you will invalidate the original paper tickets. You will also be able to use the same Account Manager functions from the 2017-18 regular-season including transfer, donating and selling on the NHL Ticket Exchange.

What if I do not wish to renew at this time, but would like to purchase my tickets for the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs?

If you do not wish to renew your plan at this time, you still have access to your seats by paying in full for your 2018 Stanley Cup Playoff tickets based on the season-ticket member discount. In order to participate in our Pay As We Play program, you must renew your season-tickets for the 2018-19 season and make a payment through Power Pay, Four Part, 50/50 or 100% payment options.

Can I use my 2017-18 Ticketmaster Ticket Exchange resale credits towards my playoff payments?

No, any resale credit accrued by the resale of tickets from the 2017-18 regular-season and 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs can only be used towards future seasons. Resale credit for tickets sold prior to January 31, 2018, will be noted on your 2018-19 renewal invoice and used to reduce the total amount due for your renewal. Resale credit for tickets sold on or after January 31, 2018, will automatically be applied to your remaining 2018-19 ticket balance prior to your July 15 payment.

What if I do not want to purchase my tickets for the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs?

We hope you will join us for the excitement of Capitals playoff hockey; however, you may choose to only renew your Capitals account for the 2018-19 season at this time.

Can I buy additional playoff tickets through the Capitals?

If there are additional playoff tickets available for individual games, they will be made available to Capitals Full Season-Ticket Members via an online presale. Due to very limited availability there is no guarantee that we will have additional playoff tickets for purchase.
