Auto-Renew Power Pay Monthly payment plan*

I am an AUTO-RENEW account- do I need to do anything?

No, as an auto renew customer, your Club Red 365 membership will automatically renew for future seasons on our 12-month payment plan. Unless you cancel before March 18, 2019 by contacting your Membership Services Manager via phone or email, your membership will automatically renew for future seasons on our auto renew plan. You will be charged the effective membership price on March 18, 2019 and on or around the 15th of each subsequent month for the duration of each season's 12-month payment cycle (March-February), on the payment credit card you provide. The 2019-2020 effective membership price is provided in the 2019-20 Season Ticket Membership price chart which is located on the 2019-20 Capitals Membership Renewal website. How do I make my first payment online?

Please click the RENEW NOW button above and then follow the directions on the page to renew. Select your payment method and make your first payment. Once we receive your renewal and payment information for the 2019-20 tickets, we will charge your credit card for that first payment.

How will my Power Pay payment plan work for the rest of this season and future seasons?

If you are enrolled in the 12-month Auto Renew Power Pay, your Club Red 365 membership will automatically renew for future seasons on our 12-month payment plan. What will happen to my ticket invoice if the Washington Capitals are invited to participate in an NHL special event?

The ticket purchaser acknowledges and agrees that [tickets] being purchased hereunder are solely for 2019- 2020 NHL preseason and regular games presented by the Washington Capitals and played at Capital One Arena, and for the avoidance of doubt, shall not include tickets, or the right to purchase tickets, to any other event or game, including, but not limited to, any NHL European Global Series Games, NHL China Games, NHL Winter Classic, NHL Heritage Classic, NHL Stadium Series, NHL All-Star or NHL Draft event ("League Special Event") held in the Washington Capitals market or hosted by the NHL at Capital One Arena or otherwise in which the Washington Capitals participates. The ticket purchaser acknowledges and agrees that the Washington Capitals and/or NHL may cancel, postpone, reschedule or relocate games or events for any reason (e.g., move a regular season game of the Washington Capitals from Capital One Arena to an alternate venue for the purposes of playing a League Special Event), as determined in its/their sole discretion, as well as to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any aspect of the rules, operations and presentations of NHL games and events ("Preemption").

In the event that any game or event for which tickets have been sold to the ticket purchaser is not played or presented in Capital One Arena for any reason, including, but not limited to, Preemption, such event shall in no way be deemed, argued or construed to be a breach by the Washington Capitals of any terms, conditions, agreement or any other duties or obligations in connection with the sale and use of these tickets and, in such event, the ticket purchaser's sole remedy shall be a pro-rata account credit or refund equal to the price paid for these tickets as specified in the ticket invoice, and the ticket purchaser hereby waives and releases any and all claims it may have against the Washington Capitals and/or the NHL with respect to such game(s) or event not played or presented at Capital One Arena.

What are the benefits of renewing my season-tickets by the March 15, 2019 renewal deadline?

By renewing your season-tickets by the deadline, you continue to receive our great Season-Ticket Member benefits package, guarantee your same seat location for the playoffs, qualify for our Pay As We Play playoff payment plan and qualify for our 2019-20 renewal incentives including participation in the renewal sweepstakes program.

My Power Pay plan does not finish until February 2019. Will I have to make two payments in February, my final payment for my 2018-19 tickets and also start paying for my 2019-20 season tickets?

If you opt to renew within the month of February, there will be some overlap in the payment plan process. If you are signed up for the 2018-19 Power Pay plan, your final payment is February 15, 2019. If we receive your renewal and payment information for your 2019-20 full season-ticket membership in February, we will charge your credit card for that first payment immediately.

If you are currently enrolled in the Power Pay auto-renewal program you will not have any overlap in your payments as we will automatically renew your plan for the 2019-20 season on March 15, 2019.

What are my options for receiving the funds when selling tickets through the NHL TicketExchange?

Season-Ticket Members have two options for receiving resale credit when selling tickets through the NHL TicketExchange. The first option is direct deposit, this option will have all resale credit from sold tickets deposited directly into an eligible checking or savings account. The second option is seller credit, this option will have all resale credit from sold tickets deposited directly into your Capitals team account which will be credited towards future seasons twice per year, first during the renewal period and second on or about July 15th.

*Please note: the only way to access funds from sold tickets immediately is to select the direct deposit option. If the seller credit option is selected, funds will be held in your Washington Capitals account and distributed twice annually directly to your ticket invoice. The first being on your renewal invoice and the second being just prior to the July 15 payment.

I have resale credit on my team account, can I use it to make my regular monthly payments?

No, any resale credit accrued by the resale of 2018-19 regular-season tickets and 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs can only be used towards the 2019-20 regular season when applied during the renewal period. Resale credit for tickets sold from the start of the 2018-19 season up to January 31, 2019, will be noted on your 2019-20 renewal invoice and applied to your renewal balance. Resale credit for tickets sold on or after February 1, 2019, will automatically be applied prior to your July 15, 2019 payment for your 2019-20 season-tickets. Resale credit in your team account can only be used toward future seasons or ticket purchases.

Can I use multiple cards for my Power Pay payments?

No, we need one consistent credit card for payments.

What happens if I miss a payment or my credit card is declined?

If a problem arises concerning your payment, you will be contacted by the Washington Capitals to provide a valid credit card. Your online account manager privileges will be suspended until the payment is made and your tickets may be blocked. If you are unable to arrange for regular monthly installments, you will be removed from Power Pay and will need to pay your remaining balance in full to avoid cancellation of your season-tickets.

Who do I contact if I need to update my credit card information?

Please contact the Capitals Membership Services Department at (202) 266-2350 or via e-mail at membershipservices@washcaps.com. Updating your credit card through your account manager will not update the credit card for your payment plan.

What is Select-A-Seat?

Our annual event where full season-ticket members can relocate their seats for the upcoming season based on availability. The 2019-20 Select A Seat event will be held online using our virtual venue platform between on March 27 and 28 and is the only relocation opportunity for the upcoming 2019-20 season. In order to participate in our Select A Seat event you must be renewed by the March 15, 2019 deadline.

How are the time slots assigned for this event?

The time slots are assigned based on the number of RSVPs and the "since date" for each account, sorted by account number. Time slots are not consistent year over year, however the most tenured accounts will always have the earliest access to the Select-A-Seat event. Due to the large number of accounts, there is the possibility that accounts within the same "since date" will be split between different time slots with the earliest account numbers getting the first time slot in that tenure group.

I have a share partner with a later time slot; can they come to my time slot?

No, in order for you and your share partner to relocate seats together you must attend the later of the two time slots to maintain the tenure system by which times were assigned.

I cannot make it to Select-A-Seat, can I send a share partner?

Yes, you will be able to select a share partner as a proxy. However, if your share partner selects a location you are not happy with, you will not have another relocation opportunity.

What will be available during my time slot?

We can't guarantee specific locations during a specific time slot. The Select-A-Seat event is very fluid and available inventory will be changing during each time slot. Throughout the event, we will have representatives on the phones to assist with questions.

I know someone that did not renew their seats, can I move into those?

If those seats are open and available at your assigned time slot during the event you are welcome to move into them. To maintain the integrity of the event and our loyalty program all non-renewed and open inventory will be made available to season-ticket members based on their assigned time slot.

How to purchase your tickets for the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Pay As We Play:
This 2019-20 full season-ticket renewal incentive allows you to pay for the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs at the conclusion of each playoff round. This means no upfront payment for games that might not be played. You are charged only if the Capitals play a home game during that round.

To qualify you must renew your plan for the 2019-20 season by the renewal deadline of March 15, 2019. The Capitals reserve the right to cancel your 2019-20 season-ticket plan if you default on any Pay As We Play payment.

*PLEASE NOTE, ANY PAYMENTS MADE TOWARDS THE RENEWAL OF YOUR 2019-20 SEASON-TICKET PLAN WILL REMAIN ON YOUR ACCOUNT IF IT IS CANCELLED ANY TIME AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE 2018-19 REGULAR SEASON. THAT CREDIT MAY BE USED TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF 2019-20 CAPITALS TICKETS THROUGH THE MEMBERSHIP SERVICES DEPARTMENT OR A CAPITALS TICKET SALES SPECIALIST. THERE WILL BE NO REFUND FOR PAYMENTS MADE TOWARDS YOUR MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL.

Pay in Full for Rounds 1 through 4:
You may choose to purchase your seats for all four playoff rounds up front (16 possible games). Refer to the seating diagram for pricing information. Any money from unplayed playoff games will be credited to your season-ticket account for the 2019-20 season. If you choose not to renew your 2019-20 season-ticket plan, you can still purchase your seats for the playoffs using the pay in full for all four rounds option.

How do I sign up for Pay As We Play?

By renewing your season-tickets for 2019-20 and making your first payment either through Power Pay, Four Part, 50/50 or 100% now, you are eligible to be enrolled in Pay As We Play for the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Be sure to select Pay As We Play on your invoice or online renewal. Please note that if you default on your payments for the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs Pay As We Play program, the Capitals reserve the right to automatically cancel your 2019-20 season-ticket plan and remaining playoff tickets.

What forms of payment will be accepted for 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs Pay As We Play program?

The only accepted form of payment for the Pay As We Play plan is a major credit or debit card with a Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express logo.

Do I have to use the same credit card for both Power Pay and Pay As We Play?

Yes. We will automatically charge the credit card we have on file for Power Pay on or about the 15th of each month. At the end of each playoff round, the same card will be charged for any home games played during that round.

How will I receive my tickets for the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs?

Your playoff tickets booklets will be mailed to you similar to your 2018-19 regular season tickets. They will also be loaded onto your online Account Manager prior to the start of the first round. These paper tickets will be the active tickets for all Club Red 365 members. You may select to use our other digital ticket options to enter Capital One Arena. You will also be able to use the same Account Manager functions from the 2018-19 regular-season including transfer, donating and selling on the NHL Ticket Exchange. Any action taken on your tickets, such as forwarding to another user, will invalidate the original paper tickets.

What if I do not wish to renew at this time, but would like to purchase my tickets for the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs?

If you do not wish to renew your plan at this time, you still have access to your seats by paying in full for your 2019 Stanley Cup Playoff tickets based on the season-ticket member discount. In order to participate in our Pay As We Play program, you must renew your season-tickets for the 2019-20 season and make a payment through Power Pay, Four Part, 50/50 or 100% payment options.

Can I use my 2018-19 Ticketmaster Ticket Exchange resale credits towards my playoff payments?

No, any resale credit accrued by the resale of tickets from the 2018-19 regular-season and 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs can only be used towards future seasons. Resale credit for tickets sold prior to January 31, 2019, will be noted on your 2019-20 renewal invoice and used to reduce the total amount due for your renewal. Resale credit for tickets sold on or after January 31, 2019, will automatically be applied to your remaining 2019-20 ticket balance prior to your July 15, 2019 payment.

What if I do not want to purchase my tickets for the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs?

We hope you will join us for the excitement of Capitals playoff hockey; however, you may choose to only renew your Capitals account for the 2019-20 season at this time.

Can I buy additional playoff tickets through the Capitals?

If there are additional playoff tickets available for individual games, they will be made available to Capitals Full Season-Ticket Members via an online presale. Due to very limited availability there is no guarantee that we will have additional playoff tickets for purchase.
